Rick Stein Far Eastern Odyssey Sri Lanka, The Sunhouse, Galle.

In February 2008 Rick Stein visited Sri Lanka to film for his Far Eastern Odyssey programme. The Sri Lanka episodes will be aired on BBC2 on Thursday 6th august and Thursday 16th august at 8.00pm. and can subsequently be seen on BBC Itunes. Rick Stein and his team based themselves at The Sunhouse in Galle and several of the recipes used for the making of the series were prepared by Sunhouse chefs. Sunhouse guests can be taught these recipes by our Chefs.

During his visit Rick Stein was the guest of Honour at the opening of the Sunhouse's latest restaurant The Bamboo Bar and Grill, set in the al fresco setting of the main courtyard and specializing in grilled seafood and fresh salads. The Sunhouse also has a Verandah restaurant and serves more informal food at it's award winning Dick's Bar, the venue for the local expatriate population and the knowledgeable traveller.
